About Me

I came to ceramics from a background in painting and printmaking. I love decorating a clay surface and get great pleasure in creating art I know will be held and enjoyed by others in their daily lives. The good natured humour, whimsy, and playfulness of folk art inspires me, as do contemporary concepts of surface and patterning.

I’m not a production potter, but rather create small batches of work in an urban home studio. Although I like to work thematically to form ‘sets’, each piece is unique.
